Academic freedom in times of polarization

Increasing social and political polarization has over the past few years affected academia globally as well as nationally. How do we safeguard academic freedom and scientific debate in the context of this growing polarization?
The seminar touches on how academic freedom can be exercised in a context of polarization, what rights, obligations and limitations exist for students, teachers and academic leaders, and how universities can act when public debate divides the academic community.
