Gamla Lungkliniken building update

Information from the operating group

As the project to renovate G:a Lungkliniken has been completed, an operating group has been set up to ensure that the remaining shortcomings are addressed.

March

The renovation project at the Old Lung Clinic has been completed. An operating group has been formed with the aim of maintaining and ensuring a well-functioning physical work environment. The practical work is carried out by Malin Möller (Caretaker) and Mattias Kvist (House Prefect). The Head of House is mainly responsible for ensuring a good physical working environment, fire protection and security.

Regarding more personalised furnishing of the individual offices, the group now has access to a ‘product list’ with suggestions for suitable products to be purchased for this purpose. The Operations Group is opening up discussions on the purchase of additional furniture. The contact person in this matter is Malin Möller. However, we would like to emphasise once again that furnishings must be handled in a way that promotes future movements of staff between offices, which means that the group is striving for standardisation, not least when it comes to wall-mounted furniture.

Below we present the status of ongoing cases.

February

With regard to the more individualised furnishing of each office, we are waiting for a product list with suggestions for suitable products to be purchased. Our interior designer Carolina Rijpma (LU building) will hopefully deliver this within the next few weeks. As soon as the "list" is available, the group will start discussing the purchase of additional furniture. However, we would like to point out that the furniture should be handled in such a way as to facilitate the future movement of staff between offices, which means that we, as a group, are striving for standardisation, not least when it comes to wall-mounted furniture.

Below we present the status of the ongoing and completed action items that the group has dealt with during the four weeks it has been active.
